Because putting it out there helps me stay accountable—and I hope you’ll follow up, support me, or challenge me to keep going.
I turn 38 in 2025, a number that officially puts me in the late 30s category. Turning 40 doesn’t scare me. It motivates me. I see it as a marker—an invitation to live with more intention, to stretch myself, and to seize the moments that go by too fast.
For many women, 38 is a checkpoint: fertility, hormone shifts, metabolism, energy, sleep—it all starts to whisper louder if it hasn't already. It becomes a time when wellness routines aren't a trend, but a lifeline.
I want to be proud of the way I spend the next few years, not just for the big milestones, but for the way I show up, grow, and give back. With that in mind, here's my Top 10 List of Life Goals by Age 40.
1. Get pregnant and deliver a healthy baby
As 40 loomed on the horizon of my life, I felt a powerful force encouraging me to try for a third child. If you follow my IVF journey, you'll know it has been a tough yet overwhelmingly rewarding experience. I’m preparing my body, my mind, and my heart for this next chapter, and I’m open to the path it takes to get there.

2. Travel to Iceland
The land of fire and ice has been on my list forever. I want to see the Northern Lights, soak in geothermal baths, and hike through landscapes that feel like another planet.

3. Become a sourdough bread expert
I don’t just want to bake a good loaf—I want to understand the craft. Fermentation, hydration, shaping… I want my starter to have a name and a personality.

4. Master gardening
From seed to harvest, I want to grow a garden that feeds both body and soul. Flowers, herbs, veggies—I like dirt under my nails and fresh basil in my dinner.

5. Release a cookbook
This one’s been quietly living in my head for a long time. It’ll be a mix of nourishing recipes, wellness reflections, and stories behind the meals. Time to bring it to life.

6. Run a half-marathon with my husband
Not just for the finish line, but for the training, the teamwork, and the memories along the way. This one's about discipline—and doing something hard together.

7. Start a book club
A cozy, inspiring space for deep conversation, wine, laughter, and accountability to actually finish the books I start.
8. Host an in-person wellness retreat
I want to gather women, create space for rest and growth, and guide them through something that feels meaningful and grounding. Real connection. Real healing.
9. Go to a well-known dance studio in NYC
No expectations—just joy. I want to walk into a high-energy class at one of those iconic NYC studios and dance like nobody’s watching (even though they totally are).
10. Find an organization close to my heart to support long-term
Whether it’s women’s health, mental wellness, or community care, I want to give my time, energy, and resources to something that matters, consistently.
Support My Life Goals by Age 40
I want to use the next two years to set the tone for how I enter my 40s—stronger, clearer, more rooted. I think of it as the “rehearsal dinner” for my next decade.
Your support over the past decade or so of my life has meant a lot. You can continue to support my progress by sharing this article with others, enrolling in the on-demand Legg Day Method Program (less than $25 a month!), or joining a 1:1 Nutrition Accountability Program.
